About Us
The Nkomwa Foundation Trust ( NFT), is a disability led Community Based Organisation operating in Matabeleland South Province in Zimbabwe. Our mission is to Uplift and Support Person With Disabilities (PWD’s), promoting their rights, and helping them achieve their aims for Self-sufficiency and Sustainability in the Future.

What We Do
Educational Support
Every human being has a right to access education regardless of their disability. As NFT, we ensure that we provide PWD pupils and students with this oppurtinity by providing support to young PWD with school fees, school essentials and school enrolment.
Life skills & Economic Empowerment
We are living in a country whose economy is defined by what a human being can do as an individual to earn themselves a living. Therefore, we seek to provide provision of capital for a start-up business to young PWDs and their caregivers.
Care & Health management services
There are many challenges that are faced by PWDs in accessing health-care services that include travelling from home to a nearby clinic/hospital and communication barrier between health_care givers and patients with disabilities.Hence asNFT,we advance the right to health services.Act as a link between service providers and the PWDs and their caregivers.
Advocacy & lobbying
We advocate for the upholding of rights of PWDs. we aloso lobby for policy changes for the betterment of PWDs lives from community level to national level to national level.
Psycho Social Support
Most PWDs face different challenges in Families,at School,at Church,in the Society and other different areas where they might go. These challenges range but are not limited to: discrimination,bullying,abuse of their human rights and linguistic human rights.NFT then provides counselling sessions to YPWDs and families blessed with a child with disability.
Training and Development
We capacitate communities,PWDs and caregivers with life skills programme. We take advantange of our strategic partnerships and offer these trainings that range,but are not limited to, disability sensitisation,teaching sign language, and dish-washer as well as soap making.
research
As NFT, we do not assume what sort of assistance is needed by our beneficiaries. in order to be certain of these needs, we literary leave our offices and go to the communities and conduct as well as participate in research to influence the interventions.
